Special session devoted to the 70 th anniversary of Prof. Ryszard Tadeusiewicz:

The special session will be dedicated to issues, which Professor Ryszard Tadeusiewicz pioneered in the world literature (he was one of the first researchers describing particle swarm modeling problems, published in Polish language in 1979 ( and in English in „The computer model of the bee colony” , System Science nr 3, vol. 9, pp. 83 – 95, 1983; he also was one of the pioneers in the area of automatic image understanding ( and as well in Poland inspiring thousands of researchers in the areas of biocybernetics, biomedical engineering, speech recognition, computer vision and neural networks. Professor Ryszard Tadeusiewicz devoted his whole life and service to research and teaching in those areas.
